DESCRIPTION:*UPDATE* Reminder to stay at home if you are feeling unwell\, regardless of the alert level.\nPlease get your entries in as we need more entries!\n \nThis event will go ahead as planned. The announcement of alert level 2 for our region finishes at 6am on the morning of this event.\nHowever\, if alert level 2 is extended the following changes will be made to this event:\n– Maximum limit of 40 entries. Any entries received beyond that will be on a reserve waiting list. Entries will be ordered by receipt of entry and payment.\n– No spectators allowed.\n– Attendees limited to driver and one co-driver.\n– Competitors must complete Self Scrutiny of Vehicle Safety form (on our website) and send an image of your last three event entries in your Motorsport NZ log book to the event secretary Sarah Brennan brennan.sarah@xtra.co.nz.\n  \nOur first gravel sprint is 4km of awesome road on Banks Peninsula. Last run in 2019 where David Quantock in his Mirage AP4 snatched victory from Mike Tall in an older model Mirage. DESCRIPTION:Unfortunately Hanmer Rally will not go ahead in 2020. Autosport Club have made the decision that it is not appropriate to run the rally as the Coroners Hearing is still pending about the sad accident that occurred at the 2018 Hanmer Rally. This is not a choice that our group of volunteers have taken lightly but it’s the tough call that we have to make in the best interest of everybody. We are hopeful for the future\, having a Hanmer Rally again when circumstances allow. Thank you for your understanding.

Our volunteers are absolutely gutted after the huge amount of work they’ve done to prepare this event. Sorry to those who entered. We will contact you to organise a full refund.
