DESCRIPTION:The BNT Automotive Sponsored Woods Road Sprint will be held on the 12th of October \n \nEntries are open with the publication of these regulations and close at 5pm Thursday\, 10th October 2024. Please enter early if your planning on competing as it helps the team limit last minute work. \nEnter online – https://online.motorsport.org.nz/msnzprofile/login \nBased in North Canterbury\, Woods Road has not been run before as a sprint so a level playing field and a new challenge for everyone one. \nThe course is approximately 4.5 km of gravel road\, with a hard base. The first third of the course is on a flat open section with few corners before it starts to climb. There are some challenging corners here as it passes adjacent to a small forestry block before proceeding down a gradual downhill with wide sweeping corners before finishing on the flat \nGreta Valley school will be doing a BBQ on the day including hot drinks so bring cash to support the local school \n \n  \nWoods Road turns off Scargill Valley Road approximately 11kms in from SH1 at Greta Valley\, North Canterbury. SUMMARY:Event 4 - Mt Thomas Gravel Sprint - 24th August
DESCRIPTION:Our 3rd Gravel Sprint in the Autosport calendar for the year will be Mt Thomas Sprint last run 2022 with Matt Summerfield winning that year \nEntries open with the publication of these regulations and close at 5pm Thursday 22nd August 2024. \n \nStage Map \nDirections \nFrom Rangiora travel north and cross the Ashley River bridge on Cones Road. Continue on this road for 6km. Follow the signs for Mt Thomas and turn left onto Hodgsons Road. Follow this road for 16km then before the Garry River bridge turn right into Hayland Road. The Service area will be on the side of Hayland Road Before the Old Forestry HQ. To reach the start line go past the old forest HQ. Follow the road to the left past the entrance to the DOC camping area. \nSite location \nOnly vehicles that are competing and official’s vehicles will be permitted up to the start line. SUMMARY:Canterbury Rally 2024
DESCRIPTION:The 2024 edition of Canterbury Rally which will take place on Sunday 2nd June on King’s Birthday weekend  \nThe rally will be run in the Ashley and Okuku Forests plus the final stage at Ruapuna circuit \nThe rally comprises of approximately 140 kms of special stages and 137kms of touring. \nEntries are open now\, and close at 5pm on Tuesday 21st May 2024\, regulations and entry forms below \n \n\nWith the 2024 edition of the Silver Fern Rally utilizing the public roads later in the year we have an all forest stage edition for Lonestar Rally of Canterbury 2024\n\n\n \n\n\nStarting from Joes Garage in Rangiora SS1 and SS2 form the first loop before heading to the first of 3 services at the single service park making it a easy setup for the service crews this year\, the service park will be just below the Okuku Forsest at Protranz Limeworks Quarry Whiterock.\n \n\n\nSS1 is the Mt Grey road Uphill to wake everyone up ranked the 16th best Stage in NZ by the NZRC a few years ago and we get to run it in both directions this year.\n \n\n\nAfter service 2 loops through the Okuku forest with SS3 and SS4 then a service and a second run though in the same direction giving drivers a second chance to sort the stage out\n \n\n\nAfter another service the final forest stage loop with a SS7 a repeat of SS2 in reverse and the final stage\, SS8\, a run on Mt Grey Downhill.\n\n\nThen as become very popular with rally’s of late a final tarmac Spectator friendly stage with several laps of Ruapuna before heading into town at Lonestar Manchester street for the Finish at approx 5pm\n\nSPECTATOR INFO \n\nFull maps and entry list to come\, but to help your planning if your looking to spectate here are some spots to check out.\n \n\n\nWhen at the spectator points please stay out of the RED NO GO zones(as per picture) for your own safety at spectator points.\n \n\n\nLink to Google Map for Spectator points\, Service parks and Start and Finish areas \n\n\n \nDirections from Waimak Bridge to Spectator SS1 & SS8 points\, the Ashley forest Sprint road viewing spots \n\n\n \n\n\n\n \nSpectator point for SS4 and SS6 in the Okuku Forest.\n\n\nDirections from Waimak Bridge to start of Okuku Pass Road to Spectator SS4 & SS6 point. DESCRIPTION:Sean Haggarty on his way to winning Cust 2 in 2021 \nOur next Sprint for 2023 after canterbury rally will be Cust Sprint on Saturday 1st of July with a slight twist with the sprint being run in both directions\, fastest time of each way combining for total time. \n2023-07-01st Cust 3 Gravel Sprint Regs \nApprox 3km gravel public road\, fast and flowing on a hard base with a short twisty piece in the middle. This is the same finish as the shortened event we ran last time with a right hand turn towards the end finishing on Leslies Road but we will be racing on the return run as well. Come and have some fun spraying gravel! \nDirections: From Rangiora travel through Cust Township. Turn right into Tippings Rd. At the fork keep left\, to stay on Tippings Rd and start line will be up ahead. Service area is parking on the grass verge. Please do not leave any rubbish when you vacate.

DESCRIPTION:Autosport Mt Thomas – Gravel Sprint \nA great piece of 4km forestry road\, Mt Thomas is an awesome fast blast with a bit of everything\, fast\, technical climb then along a ridgeline through the forest and a twisty downhill finish. \nRegulations: 2022-07-28th Mt Thomas Gravel Sprint Regs \nEntries out now\, enter now via possum.motorsport.org.nz  \n \nPlease remember your entry is not deemed valid until internet payment is received (as per the regulations). \nSadly due to forest regulations there will be no spectators or spectator viewing at this event \n \nMatt Penrose won the event in 2017 in his mighty Ex-Trevor Crowe WRX. He won convincingly with a margin of 5 seconds from Job Quantock who’s getting to grips with the Skoda AP4. Matt Summerfield was only 1 seconds behind in a borrowed Evo 3\n \nClass winners in 2017\n \nClass 1 0-1300cc winner Chris Herdman (Starlet) still dominates the category\, winning by 5 seconds from Ryan Blacktopp also in a Starlet.\n \nClass 2 1301-1600cc winner David Birkett (Levin\, Ex-David Holder) had a great battle with the fast improving Nick Marston (Sprinter).\n \nClass 3 1600cc+ winner Ari Pettigrew only just beat the experienced Andrew Sim in the battle of the Fiestas as Andrew fought back only to miss out by less than 0.2 seconds.

SUMMARY:28 November - Cust 2 Gravel Sprint
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to have one more skid on the gravel this year with a slight twist to a sprint we’ve already done this year. \nThis time it will be slightly shorter and have a different finish. \nPlease read the Regs completely so you fully understand the requirements under level 2. \n2021-11-28th Cust 2 Gravel Sprint Regs \nApologies for the delay with releasing this event but this year has proven even more difficult with some huge challenges putting on events with factors outside of our control. Massive thanks to our President Murray Christofferson and others for putting in huge volunteer hours to make it happen. Please get your entries in now via https://possum.motorsport.org.nz/ \nApprox 3km gravel public road\, fast and flowing on a hard base with a\nshort twisty piece in the middle. This is a different finish to previous years with a right hand turn towards the end finishing on Leslies Road. Come and have some fun spraying gravel! \nDirections: From Rangiora travel through Cust Township. Turn right into Tippings Rd. At the fork keep left\, to stay on Tippings Rd and start line will be up ahead. Service area is parking on the grass verge. Please do not leave any rubbish when you vacate. \n\,p> \n
